We all know we’re supposed to drink more water. But plain water? It can feel a little… uninspiring. That’s where infused water comes in—a simple, beautiful way to hydrate with a bit of flavor, nourishment, and a dash of everyday magic.
Here’s how to turn a glass of water into a self-care ritual.
Step-by-Step: How to Make Infused Water
Step 1: Choose Your Container
You can use a mason jar, a ***pretty pitcher (with or without an infuser), or a water bottle with an infuser. Clear glass lets you enjoy the colors of your creation (and makes it feel a little fancy). I like the bottle linked above (and seen below). It encourages me to drink more!
Step 2: Wash and Prep Your Produce
Use fresh, organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs whenever possible. Slice or gently crush them to help release their flavors.
Step 3: Add to Your Container
Drop your ingredients right into the pitcher, jar or water bottle with infuser. You don’t need much—just a handful of sliced fruit or a sprig of herbs.
Step 4: Fill with Cold Water
Use filtered or spring water for the cleanest taste. You can also add a few ice cubes if you’re sipping right away.
Step 5: Steep
Let the water sit in the fridge for at least 1–2 hours. The longer it sits, the stronger the flavor (overnight is best if you like it bold). I sometimes leave mine 8+ hours.
Step 6: Sip, Savor, Refill
Drink throughout the day and top off with more water once or twice before replacing the fruit.

One More Thing…
This doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need twelve ingredients and a Pinterest-worthy photo shoot. Sometimes, it’s just lemon slices in a mason jar and ten quiet minutes on the porch. That’s a ritual too. We’ll have more posts in our Summer Rituals series coming soon.
